These terms apply to every booking made with Daymaniyat Norana Tours ("we", "us", "our") through this website, by WhatsApp, by phone or in person. By making a booking you confirm that you have read and agree to them on behalf of yourself and everyone in your group.
1. About us
Daymaniyat Norana Tours operates boat trips to the Daymaniyat Islands and along the coast of Muscat, Sultanate of Oman, departing from Al Mouj Marina. You can call us on +968 9451 0101, or email mmtoman2@gmail.com.
2. Bookings
2.1 You must be at least 18 years old to make a booking.
2.2 The person who makes the booking is responsible for the whole group, including making sure everyone has read these terms.
2.3 A booking is confirmed only when we have received full payment and sent you a confirmation. We may also contact you by WhatsApp or email to confirm details.
2.4 We may decline a booking, for example if a trip is fully booked, the details are incomplete, or we cannot run the trip safely. If we decline a booking you have paid for, you'll receive a full refund.
2.5 Please check your booking details (date, departure time, number of adults and children) as soon as you receive your confirmation and tell us straight away if anything is wrong.
3. Prices and payment
3.1 Prices are shown in Omani Rial (OMR) and are the total you pay at checkout.
3.2 Shared trips are priced per person, with a separate price for children where shown. Private charters are priced per boat for your group, up to the boat's capacity.
3.3 Payment is made online by card through our payment provider, Paymob. We never see or store your full card number.
3.4 Promo codes must be entered at checkout, can't be exchanged for cash and can't be applied after a booking is made. Each code is subject to its own conditions, such as validity dates and a minimum spend.
3.5 We may change our prices at any time, but a change will not affect a booking that has already been confirmed.
4. Cancellations and changes
Cancellations, date changes, refunds and cancellations for weather are covered by our Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms.
5. On the day
5.1 Please arrive at the marina at least 15 minutes before departure. The boat leaves on time and we cannot wait for late arrivals.
5.2 Every guest must bring valid photo ID (passport, Omani ID or residence card). The authorities may require a list of passengers, and we may refuse boarding without ID.
5.3 Itineraries, snorkelling spots and landing sites are decided on the day by the captain, according to the weather, sea conditions and reserve regulations. Wildlife sightings, including turtles and dolphins, cannot be guaranteed.
6. Safety and your responsibilities
6.1 The captain's decisions are final on all matters of safety. Please follow the crew's instructions at all times.
6.2 Swimming and snorkelling are at your own choice and risk. You must be comfortable in the water to snorkel; life jackets are available and non-swimmers must wear one in the water.
6.3 Please tell us before the trip about any medical condition, pregnancy, injury or disability that may affect your safety, and about any non-swimmers in your group. If you're unsure whether an activity is suitable for you, ask your doctor.
6.4 Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times, on board and in the water.
6.5 We may refuse boarding, or ask a guest to stop an activity, without a refund if the guest is under the influence of alcohol or drugs, behaves in a way that puts themselves or others at risk, or ignores safety instructions.
6.6 You are responsible for your personal belongings. Please use a dry bag for phones, cameras and valuables.
7. The nature reserve
The Daymaniyat Islands are a protected nature reserve. All guests must follow the reserve's rules and the crew's guidance, including:
- not touching, standing on or collecting coral, shells, sand or wildlife
- not feeding or chasing fish, turtles or birds
- landing only where permitted
- taking all rubbish back to the mainland
Fines issued by the authorities for breaking reserve rules are the responsibility of the guest concerned.
8. Private charters
Private charters are for your group only. The price covers the boat and crew for the trip booked. The number of guests must not exceed the boat's capacity, and the headcount you give us is used for safety and passenger records.
9. Liability
9.1 We operate with a trained crew and safety equipment on every trip, and we take every reasonable care to keep you safe.
9.2 To the extent permitted by the laws of Oman, we are not liable for loss, injury or damage that results from your failure to follow these terms or the crew's instructions, from pre-existing medical conditions you did not tell us about, or from events outside our reasonable control (such as weather, sea conditions or instructions from the authorities).
9.3 Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under the law.
10. Photos
We sometimes take photos and videos on our trips to share on our website and social media. If you'd prefer not to appear, just tell the crew and we'll respect that.
11. Your personal data
We handle your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page when you make your booking applies to that booking.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Sultanate of Oman, and the courts of Muscat have jurisdiction over any dispute.
